Simon Wouldn’t Be Elected

I’m watching American Idol with Aden right now and I realized something.  The strategy for winning is the same as it is for an election.  Its all based on votes and I don’t care if you sing as bad as me, you will have certain people who will vote for you no matter what.  I don’t care if you get on stage and sing the national anthem with your ass, your core fan base will still vote for you.  So it all boils down to the people not loyal to anybody and will vote for who they think sang or looked the best.  I think it works really well and would be a great system for our country if we didn’t have that bullshit that got bush elected and re-elected whole electoral college thing.
