Family Ties

If you’ve even known me for only 2 seconds, you will know that my family is extremely important to me, they’re crazy, but the best thing in my life . I could go on and on about them and how much fun it was growing up as the youngest of 6 kids and how we took care of each other and still do. Also how even though I am the youngest, I don’t act like it lol. Now we’re all spread out  and have our own lives but still rely heavily on each other. My focus right now is the next generation: my nieces and nephews. I want to make sure thay have the best life possible by making the right decisions. It’s important to me that they learn from others mistakes and stay out of trouble. I am heavily involved in their lives. I know the pressures out there for teenagers are so much worse than when I was school and that wasn’t that long ago. I am very conscious of my actions and the example I set for them. I hope they know that they can be whatever they want as long as they are willing to do the work and stay focused. I was so happy to be able to spend time with my oldest niece and nephew over the holiday. They are great kids and super smart and I’m extremely proud of them. I’ve been around them since day 1 and feel like I have helped raise them so it’s nice to see them and have them know that I am not an old fart and can kind of relate to them lol. It was also nice to see my older brother who was back from England on holiday. He is not only my brother but he is like my best friend. I just love my family and know that I can always go to them or they can come to me and we will be there for each other.
