{"id":588,"date":"2008-04-20T00:09:51","date_gmt":"2008-04-20T06:09:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ocbenji.com\/blog\/?p=588"},"modified":"2009-01-06T16:00:46","modified_gmt":"2009-01-06T22:00:46","slug":"i-hope-i-got-enough-dirt-on-her","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ocbenji.com\/blog\/2008\/04\/20\/i-hope-i-got-enough-dirt-on-her\/","title":{"rendered":"I Hope I Got Enough Dirt on Her"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This analogy came to me when my son broke a pot with a plant in it that had taken 2 months to finally sprout.<\/p>\n<p>Love is like gardening.\u00a0 And each relationship is a plant.\u00a0 I&#8217;m dealing with a plant with a pot that I broke long ago.\u00a0 It was my all-time favorite plant.\u00a0 For some reason I continued to water it throughout the years, watching the water drip out of the cracks in the pottery, knowing that I should just fix it.\u00a0 The plant started to wilt away on the tips and turn brown from the lack of water and consistent soil.\u00a0 In my mind, I lost all hope for my plant after the pot broke even though it showed signs of wanting to make it after the breaking of the pot.\u00a0 Recent events have made this plant high on my list of priorities so I&#8217;m going to show it how much it means to me.\u00a0 I loved this plant and still do and needed to start acting like it.\u00a0 So today I bought a new huge pot and alot of potting soil.\u00a0 I may have overdone it but I am dedicated to doing right by my plant and having faith that it will grow huge enough to plant in my garden when I eventually have one.\u00a0 There is no telling if re-potting this plant will work but I&#8217;m not giving up.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos-410.ll.facebook.com\/photos-ll-sf2p\/v239\/247\/58\/26703410\/n26703410_36233561_9189.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This analogy came to me when my son broke a pot with a plant in it that had taken 2 months to finally sprout.
