Aesthetically-Challenged Man Seeks Personal Shopper

Women remain a mysterious yet intriguing bunch and I tend to study and analyze them when I get chances. I want to know what makes them tick. What makes them do things that make no logical sense to me, like wearing high heels (don’t they hurt?),putting on make-up (why put it on if your just gonna take it off?), or agonizing over how they look (whoever loves you won’t care). There has always been one female characteristic that I’ve been completely baffled by, aesthetics. The desire for things to look, smell, or feel a certain way. Now my analytical mind did some digging and found out that women have a stronger sense of smell than men. And believe me, when pregnant, it reaches near bloodhound proportions. So when I think that I don’t smell, and a lady is nice enough to warn me of my funk, I listen. They are just more equipped than I. Now they might be more sensitive as far as smell is concerned but that doesn’t explain why and how certain things smell good while others don’t. Now I ask lots of women the same question alot just to see if there is a variance or if its just a girl thang. While there are some outliers, usually women agree on if something smells, looks, or feels good. But why? Is there a certain look that a guy has that makes him cute versus another guy who might be ugly? What is the difference? Because I might think a guy is butt ugly but a bunch of ladies think he’s Denzel. And why does something smell ok to me but may repulse the ladies? And whats with the whole “cute” and “awwww” thing? Well, after trying to make sense of it all, I have determined that everything miniature is cute unless its a man’s “miniature man.” (boing!) I think that instead of trying to make sense of it all (like I ever could), I’m just gonna shut up and ask for advice from these aesthetic experts the next time I go shopping. And I’m not the only guy. This is why sites like The Guru (run by our own ) will be such big hits.
